Antalya Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Muhittin Böcek said during the beginning of the 17th International 38th National Abdal Musa Sultan Commemoration Events held in the Tekke District of Elmal district, "We have adopted the love, tolerance, and honesty of Abdal Musa as a principle. We will uphold peace and brotherhood in these lands and stand up for justice, right, and the people by their teachings. Additionally, Mayor Böcek announced plans to build a milk-integrated facility in Tekke Neighbourhood.

The 17th International 38th National Abdal Musa Sultan Commemoration Events, sponsored by Elmal Municipality and Tekke Village Abdal Musa Culture Research and Survival Association, under the auspices of Antalya Metropolitan Municipality, were formally launched with the support of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism.
The opening ceremony was attended by CHP Group Deputy Chairman Özgür Özel, Antalya Deputies, Antalya Governor Ersin Yazıcı, Antalya Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Muhittin Böcek, Elmalı District Governor Harun Kazez, Provincial Gendarmerie Commander Brigadier General Yavuz Özfidan, CHP Provincial Chairman Nuri Cengiz, Elmalı Mayor Halil Öztürk, and numerous other citizens.

26 Years of Support

"I am glad to be with you in Abdal Musa dervish lodge in Elmalı, our historic town, the country of Erenler, the land of saints," stated Muhittin Böcek, the Mayor of Antalya Metropolitan Municipality, during the opening ceremony. Due to the pandemic, we were prevented from seeing each other for two years. The president of the association knows that I have supported Abdal Musa's activities for 26 years. I am a friend of yours who, took the unanimous decision to accept our cemevis as places of worship during my Mayorship of Konyaaltı Municipality and built a cemevis in Konyaaltı. On Qadr Night, we first met at the iftar meal in Elmalı. had another stroke of bad luck that evening when I tore a tendon in my foot. I was impatient to recover and join you here, and thank God I am here.

Milk Factory in Tekke

Mayor Böcek announced good news to the Tekke District, saying, "We are carrying on our promise on the hot asphalt we made on the Night of Power. Additionally, we will build a milk integrated factory on a 7,500 square meter plot of land in the Tekke District that belongs to our Elmalı Municipality. With this factory, we will support our 10 neighborhoods where 30 tons of milk is produced daily We continue to work without discrimination in each of our 19 districts with the same tenacity and determination.

We Requested a Site Allocation for the Cultural Complex Project

Expressing that they adopted the love, tolerance, and honesty of Abdal Musa Sultan as their principle, Mayor Böcek said, “We will continue to maintain peace and brotherhood in these lands with their teaching. We'll keep standing up for justice and the common good. We have always stood by you and will stand by you in your efforts to increase Abdal Musa convent and Tekke village's visibility on a national and worldwide scale.  On November 5, 2021, we submitted our project to the Ministry of Environment, Urbanization, and Climate Change, which we had prepared to serve as the Abdal Musa Cultural Complex and which you would all be happy with. We are following the issue closely to get results as soon as possible.”

Concerts Whirl Performances
The 17th International 38th National Memorial Events for the Sultan of Abdal Musa, which were organized under the auspices of the Antalya Metropolitan Municipality, included concerts, whirl performances, and kid-friendly events.
For the duration of the festivities, meals were also provided to the public by the Metropolitan Municipality Mobile Soup Kitchen.
