SOLAR IS MORE VALUABLE

Unlicensed solar power plant - installed capacity of 600 kW - will be installed in Mellidağ, Döşemealtı at 504/84 (C) parcel. The rural development process will be supported by meeting the energy needs of the irrigation cooperatives with the energy produced by powerplant. Application of the project was made to BAKA 2015 Funding Year. The project application has been accepted and works have been started.

Raising Livestock In Antalya Is Improving With The Solar Energy
Total budget: : 1.234.776.00 TL

Amount of grant: 463.236,49 TL

Granted by: West Mediterranean Development Agency (BAKA)

Unlicensed solar power plant - installed capacity of 420 kW - will be installed in Mellidağ, Döşemealtı at 504/84 (D) parcel. 140,000 kilowatts of energy, produced by powerplant, will be used for ANET’s energy need. The rest of the energy will be used to support the rural development process by meeting the energy needs of the irrigation cooperatives. Application of the project was made to BAKA 2015 Funding Year. The project application has been accepted and works have been started.

Taking Inventory Of Local And Regional Products Of Antalya

Total budget: : 50.070.00 TL

Project aims to conduct geographical indication studies by taking inventory of local products of Antalya. The local product (geographically indicated) will be produced in their own region therefore the rural development will be supported. The project is going on.

Kaş Promotion Film

Kaş Municipality is making the Kaş Promotion Film by using 3D technology to promote the Kaş. The project is going on.

Secure Urban Speed Management

Granted by: Global Road Safety Partnership (GRSP)

The project aims to make local governments conscious of the speed management, including reducing the speed limits in urban. Antalya Metropolitan Municipality is the project partner as a pilot city. At the workshops, responsibilities of municipalities on urban traffic safety have been searched. The project is going on.

Disabled People Will Bloom

Amount of grant: 300.000,00 €

Granted by: The Ministry of Labor and Social Security

With the project, disabled people (Down syndrome) will have a job by making flower production. Antalya Metropolitan Municipality is the project partner and Çıplaklı Disabled Center is the flower production area. Project has been pre-accepted.

Taking Out The History Of Antalya From Archives

Amount of grant: 75.000,00 TL

Granted by: West Mediterranean Development Agency Direct Activity Support (DFD)

Within the scope of project, news and information (about Antalya) will be searched in the libraries in England, Greece and Turkey. At the end of this research; collected information will gather at the Antalya Metropolitan Municipality City Museum of Memory. Collected information together with the other documents we have will be a book.

Engourage The 55+ Years Old Europeans To Travel Between Countries For Tourism Activities During The Low Season

Granted by: EU Framework Programme for Business Enterprises

Project application will be made with the partnership of Antalya Metropolitan Municipality, Retiresspass and Turkish Hoteliers Federation. Paper work is prepared for the city council 2016 January agenda.

International Relations Projects

Mediterranean City Union

Antalya Metropolitan Municipality is also a member of Med-Cities established in order to develop the regional conditions and increase the power of environmental and sustainable development management of local governments under the initiative of Mediterranean Technical Assistance Program composed by World Bank, European Investment Bank, European Commission and United Nations Development Program.

Asian Mayors Forum

Antalya Metropolitan Municipality is a member of Asian Mayors Forum (AMF) whose motto is  “Integration for a better life of Asian citizens”. Last meeting of the AMF was held in Tehran and Qazvin cities of Iran from 29th August to 1st September 2015.



NATO Foreign Ministers Summit

Antalya, by hosting on behalf of Turkey 6th Plenary Session of the Euro-Mediterranean Regional and Local Assembly (ARLEM) in December 2014, the NATO Foreign Ministers Summit in May 2015, the G20 Leaders’ Summit in November 2015, consolidated its prestigious status among the world cities.


Assembly of European Regions (AER)

Antalya Metropolitan Municipality is also a member of Assembly of European Regions (AER) which is the largest independent network of inter-regional cooperation in Europe.


MCSR CA - the Maritime-Continental Silk Road Cities Alliance

Antalya Metropolitan Municipality is also the only member from Turkey to the MCSR CA - the Maritime-Continental Silk Road Cities Alliance, established this year under the umbrella of six majors institutions (UNDP, UNOSSC, UNIDO, UNESCO, WTO and CICETE) of United Nations (UN). Launching Conference of this Alliance was held in Beijing in September 2015.


“Children and Flowers” themed EXPO 2016

Antalya will be the capital of all the world’s children with “Children and Flowers” themed EXPO 2016 which will be held in Antalya. Children from Antalya city, Turkey and all over the world will meet in beautiful Antalya with the most beautiful gardens in the world, parks and playgrounds.


Strong Cities Network

Antalya is one of the founding members of Strong Cities Network together with important cities of the world such as New York, London, Paris, Montreal, Atlanta, Palermo, Rotterdam and Oslo. Strong Cities Network, initiated by USA President Barack Obama, was established to counter together against violent extremism under the supervision of the United Nations, and realized its first meeting in New York in September 2015.

The Silk Road Economic Belt Cities Cooperation and Development Forum

Antalya Metropolitan Municipality became one of the founder cities of the Silk Road Economic Belt Cities Cooperation and Development Forum and is elected as a member of the Forum Executive Board, and became also the Deputy Secretary General city.
